Ice Wine

China’s „Golden Ice Valley“ in Liaoning, alongside Ontario in Canada and the Rhine in Germany, is one of the world’s top three ice wine regions. „Golden Ice Valley“ has the ideal environmental conditions for the rare cultivation of ice grapes: it is located at 41 degrees north latitude, with an average altitude of 380 meters, surrounded by Wunü Mountain and Huanlong Lake, creating a unique microclimate. The winters here are cold but not dry, allowing noble rot to form on the surface of the grapes. Additionally, each winter, the temperature drops to -8°C and stays there for over 12 hours, ensuring the production of high-quality ice wine every year.

Changyu Golden Ice Valley Ice Wine Winery is located by Huanlong Lake in Liaoning. It is a collaboration between the century-old Zhangyu Company and Aurora Icewine Company, Canada’s largest ice wine exporter. Half of the world’s ice wine is produced here, highlighting its significant role in the ice wine industry.
